Collaborating Centres

OIE Collaborating Centres are centres of expertise in a specific designated sphere of competence relating to the management of general questions on animal health issues (for example epidemiology, risk analysis, etc.). In its designated field of competence, they must provide their expertise internationally (see OIE Mandate and Internal Rules for Collaborating Centres). In 2011, the OIE has 40 Collaborating Centres covering 38 topics in 21 countries. In Asia-Pacific region, 7 Collaborating Centres covering 7 topics are located in 3 countries.
